Location: Cocentaina

* Cocentaina is a picturesque historic market town, situated on the edge of the Sierra Mariola mountain range. The town is full of unique traditional buildings and narrow streets; it is full of character and boasts a main thoroughfare packed with bars and shops. Within easy reach of both Alicante and Valencia airports, it is also just a five minute drive from the beautiful and vibrant city of Alcoy, with plentiful shops, bars and restaurants. The green valleys of Travadell and Gallinera are on the doorstep, with fantastic scenery and views of lakes, mountains and mile after mile of fruit trees and olive groves. Take a walk up to the famous castle which towers above Cocentaina and survey the view across the valleys. You can also visit many nearby hidden waterfalls and lagoons for a picnic or go fishing in the Serpis river or the Embalse de Beniarres lake. About an hour's drive through fantastic scenery are the Costa Blanca resorts of Benidorm, Javea and Denia
